Announcements๐ฃ๐ฃ :(hot off the Painesville Rotary Press)
Stu began the business meeting by passing out Rotary flags to everyone at the meeting.
He asked everyone to help him answer questions for the District Governors visit Terri Speck on September 15th . One of the questions was what are we most proud of and Abby suggested that we celebrated the 100th Anniversary. Another question was about goals for the club, Stuโs goal for the year is to increase membership. He hopes that every member can bring a guest and hopefully a prospective member this year. (He may even offer a prize for the member who brings in new members). Abby suggested that Rotary gives scholarships, maybe someone could get a member of the schools to join Rotary. Please give any suggestions to Stu for increasing membership.
Birthright is having โBundles of Joyโ brunch on September 13th. See Chris for tickets.
Stu came with gifts today. He passed out 2 Rotary Peace dove t-shirts to Lori and Chris (Pam thought he should give her one too, he would have if he had more). He also gave 2 blue Rotary t-shirts to Dave M. and Jim F. (Now arenโt you sad you missed todayโs meeting :0)!!
Stu also announced that St. James dinner is September 15th. Come and help if your schedules allow.
Alma is bringing in an extra flag and stand that she has. No more pledge of allegiance to the flag on a box!
September 1st the meeting will be held at Zappโs Custard and Mustard shop on the corner of Bank and State Streets. Tell your friends so they donโt go to the History Center next week!!
The October 13 th meeting will be a fall picnic at Rec Park. In the past we have had a summer picnic but summer has slipped away!!
